I realize, this isn't the superficial problem you are referring to though. It is that we often talk about &quot;that kid&quot; or &quot;what the kids don't seem to know&quot; and briefly discuss what to do about it...but not indepth or if so, then usually don't seem to be able to carry through the solution (usually b\/c of time constraints and the next problem that is hurtling at us).  I think it requires teacher to stop what they are doing...work out viable solution.
